You bought a car that burns itself down over 65.
Also at 90% efficiency you're over recommended amps for low quality 4 guage at 900W.

Dude, you're not the people that need to read my post, it is the others who think they can handle it without any knowledge at all. I've seen enough damage done by people who thought they knew what they were doing with golden screwdrivers, so my statement stands. A bunch of fires have been started by sticking inverters in a truck, wiring them up to the batteries without any fuse protection and those drivers can't understand how it happened or are clueless to how it is done right.

Furthermore I been repairing inverters on and off for years and some of the absolute crap coming out of china and sold here under brands like cobra and even triplight which makes me think people are lucky that these things don't melt down just idling, let alone under a load. Pure crap.

Just bought an AIMS pure sine wave from the inverter store. Any experience with them?

Yes, they are good, the guy who owns the company is Bruce who I've met a couple times and stood by his product when we had a few issues with them.

They are ok on the RF end of things, a lot of other inverters are noisy.

    Aces-N-Eights and Tb0n3 Thank this.

Whatever size inverter you use you have to have the right gauge wire depending on distance your inverter is from batteries as well as the right size amp fuse. Do not install and inverter or anything direct to your truck batteries without a fuse on positive cable right at battery terminal. Also make sure you use chaff protection on both pos/neg wires. I used an old garden hose split it and wrapped around wires.1500 watt inverter aprx 6ft from batteries 80 amp fuse 4 gauge wire gives me aprx 900 watts output on my inverter.
