LOL....next hes gonna say his engine will do 2500 rpm. I do however, happen to have a N14 Celect + that will go to about 2350 on the pedal, but its got an 18 spd, 4.30's on 11R24.5's. Never had it out passed 80 n never checked the tach, but prolly somewhere around 1900 or 2000 I would imagine...

Your makin' me work for it had to get the abacus out for yours LOL 1800RPM=103.08MPH, 2000RPM=114.53MPH, 2100RPM=120.26MPH just incase wore out wants bragging rights. FWIW if you "wrap it up" like the other fellow does, 2400RPM=137.44 for the folks keeping score at home.

The abacus and slide rule are good ways to estimate, so when you key in the decimal point wrong on the calculator, you know it's wrong.

I always estimate the outcome, even mentally so I don't blindly agree with what a calculator comes up with.

absolutely, then double-double check with the proven Jethro Bodine method, ought x ought =ought, carry the 2 =137.44MPH

I used the formula to figure out the axle ratio on the truck I drive now, was supposed to be the same ratios and trans as the one I had before, but a different engine.

It's supposed to have a 3.42 and it does by calculation, both by speed in OD and speed in 9th(direct). I'm pretty decent with math.

Good thing you measured with new tires on the truck. Otherwise you might be looking for that extra 50 RPM..... Just kidding driver.
