Amazon has delivery centers now, usually you can pick it up at a whole foods.

Alternatively some things can be shipped to Walmart stores and held there for you.

You can also ship things to businesses (ok it with the business first) and just put your name on it and "C/O Business name" on the second address line, I've had an Alternator delivered this way.

Some Pilots and Flying Js will let you ship a package to them and they will hold if it for a few days, just talk to the manager.

You can have things shipped directly to UPS customer centers or distribution centers, there is usually parking for a truck there, as with anything call ahead to verify before having something shipped to them.

I use Uber to get around if I'm in a decent sized city. If not it can wait till hometime.

Generally I'll book an Amazon power only load under the name SWIFT, and just drop the trailer on a back road and start opening boxes until I find what I need.
