I used to work for a broker, and we checked new customers out on Dunn & Bradstreet, which is very effective but very expensive. Many small business owners refused to do business with D&B and had negative feelings about their costs and requirements. Usually this would be a very small company that was acting as a distributor for a manufacturer, and they would not have a complete score on D&B, because they didn't buy much on credit. I see a lot of free broker credit websites. I have not checked them out, but run MCs of brokers you know are bad on a free one to see if their results are accurate maybe. Probably not the best way, but one way. Internet Truckstop's credit checks probably cost less than D&B.
How do you find the fake brokers
