Hey guys,
Sometimes I like to leave my refrigerator running on Friday when I get home. Sometimes by Monday morning, the truck batteries are dead. The yard doesn't have any electricity so I can run a drop cord. I could just not be lazy and take all my food out but there's gotta be a solution rather than have to empty my fridge every time. What should I do?
How do you keep your battery from going dead with refrigerator running?

There's no solution except get a cord. My truck has 4 batteries and when the weather gets warmer and the fridge cycles more it will kill the battery in a weekend. I'm assuming you have an AC fridge and an inverter. If you buy a high dollar RV DC only fridge it will use much less power. Look at a Truckfridge.
Another option is to go idle your truck for an hour or so mid weekend. No fun but it works. A lot of times I'll go start my truck or APU and go eat or run some errands some time mid weekend.Flying240 Thanks this. -

I use something similar to this......

I set it to only run a 5 or 6 hours each weekend day and has worked well for me so far. It's rated 15 amps so will run a fridge without issue.

Put a 5 lb bag of ice in the fridge and it won’t cycle until the ice has melted. That’s usually good for at least one day.
