I almost went driving a few years ago. I trained with a company after work for months. Got my cdl took all my vacations and went trucking. I just loved it. The trainer I was with talked me out of it. He told me I was nuts to give up the job I had togo trucking. So now a few years later still doing a job I do not like I wonder how it would have been if I would stuck with it

You'll find out. And if you're a newbie and don't know anything about the industry, don't lease a truck. Cuz that's what CRE is all about.

You are so on point. Every job has its share of bull(&*!. Like tonight for example. I was at Target from 9PM-1AM, waiting for them to unload the trailer so I can call it a night. I feel asleep waiting for them to finish. But it really didn't bother me. At the end of the day, I still realize that I love this job and It's probably the best job I've ever had:)

Hobbypassion21, I know the post is old. How are you liking trucking after all these years.

    Well, so much for THAT.....

This is what happens when you get your backhoe and dig up something REALLY deep; sometimes you hit a sewer main....

Even though the main point is still valid.

Start trucking and, even with the BS that goes along with it, it is worth the effort. Something to love, until you don't.

I've been at it 45 yrs and still love to hear my kitty cat, excited and wondering what's over the next hill and around the curve. I HATE the attitudes and actions of people in general and try to stay away from them as much as possible. The day i don't smile when the truck starts and I feel nothing is the day I quit. So good luck, I have NO regrets with my choice.
