Basically it means the trailer has steel cones, tees, piping and top air. Cement and other dry bulk trailers have aluminum components, but with the abrasive nature of sand steel is necessary. Also, if the trailer had been a cement trailer it will probably need the interior sand blasted.

I just bought a used cement trailer that has been made sand ready and those are the things they did to it.

BTW, good luck finding a used trailer. They disappear faster than a Little Debbie's at a Weight Watcher's convention, and new ones are months out if you get your name on one right now.

Thanks Rusty! I was able to find a Hobbs dry bulk (1200 CF) trailer in Houston so now I'm looking to buy truck. Would a FREIGHTLINER with a 380HP engine be able to do the job?
