How do you make a c12 work in a truck it was never intended for?

Hey it’s your money and your truck. I’m just suspect of the other guys numbers.

Take your lovers drama out of my thread, I'm trying to get engine compatibility, not this dramatic crap. If I want drama I'll text the ex wife.

“Your kind” lol. So 150 extra ftlbs. Or excuse me 250 sheared a u-joint? I think maybe you need to quit bang shifting.

As i said 6500+10k drop in for labor assumeing exact same number of hours. What gets you is the conversion kit. Wireing harness, motor mounts adapters for fuses, new fan shroud houseing, wireing to the CCU to keep guages and various brackets and so on. I do not know the exact price, so i must assume its the same $10,000 for the kustom truck kit. So 6500+10,000+10,000 round to 30 for taxes fees and so on. Rebuild kit is 8k for a platinium set. Call it 2k in labor as the engine is already out of frame plus anything left over from origional install and 40k seems a reasonable guesstimate.

Do you plan on being ELD compliant after the swap?

I have no experience swapping engines, nor do I know anything about newer trucks and their computer systems. But I know my way around a truck.
A plug and play system may be possible, talk to custom truck or someone like that.
If you don't mind a little bit of rigging I don't think it would be that hard to do.
You can put a C-12 on a stand and run it. Just need power and ground to ecm. Little more wiring you can wire in throttle position sensor. Would have to swap a few gauges I'm sure but tach, speedo, water temp, etc could all be wired off truck side of ecm pretty easy. Or just go with an aftermarket digital gauge cluster. Thunk PDI sells one that looks kinda cool. Or just use a scangauge D. I dunno. Just thinking out loud

What year truck and paccar engine is it? and what year cat engine u going to ? If you are going backwards in year , you may have to convert back to old wiring harness to get it to talk to the truck.. Maybe give kustom truck up in coos bay Oregon a call.. They specialize in engine swaps and custom harnesses and could probably give you a better idea of what ur getting in to
