Long hood pete and nothing. For 3 years that truck has sat unlocked, with the key in the ignition and nobody has touched it. I'm either lucky, my truck is a piece of junk, or nobody is stupid enough to mess with it.

I rewired the ignition switch circuit on my Prostar through the fog light switch . The fog lights have to be on to start the truck even though the pos fog lights were removed long ago .

Everything of value inside the truck is actually not of any great importance and wouldn't cost more than $500 to replace . I lock the truck when I leave it but beyond that it doesn't make economic sense to pay for an alarm everyone would ignore .

The only things I've ever had stolen were the spare tire and load locks when I was parked in the bobtail line by the street in the Dallas Flying J on I-20. That stuff and my battery cover are now padlocked.

Does anyone here use fuel cap locks or even def cap locks? Air break locks, wheel locks? What about locks for the hood?

I use 5th wheel locks. Have a lock on the steering column. A pin goes thru and then my enforcer lock. Use airline locks too. Fuel cap locks for me are so flawed.

I'm afraid my dogs would lick any intruders lol. Maybe not though. My cousin walked in my house one day and my dogs almost bit him. And they've seen him a bunch of times before.
