I took out the buttons and put in air operated toggle switches, much easier on the fingers, but it is a pain when I get to playing with all the switches going down the road and flip the wrong one, but does create a nice smoke screen behind me and all the vehicles behind me back way off! The only bad thing is I get a bad vibration going down the road for a while!
How do you push in brake buttons?

Well, when I park I do the following... I set only the trailer. I pull the slack out of the 5th wheel and set the tractor brake and release the trailer brake. Now nobody can pull the 5th wheel while I am parked unless I personally release the tension.
And to release my tractor brake, I use my thumb. -
T680 KW has the cup holder right in front the the brake knobs. I had a full big gulp in there a couple years ago, popped out the brake and it knocked a hole in the side of my cup. What a freekn mess.
RedRover and homeskillet Thank this. -
So that is what those buttons were for? Dang I got tired of having to put wheel fires out every time I stopped!

Last week driving my brakes kept popping back out after trying to release them, draining the reservoir. Annoying.
-
After a bad day I just glare at them and the buttons work themselves.
