Ok...first I will admit, I started a trucking career working for SNI and things started out crappy on thier homebound program but later switched. I worked 5 1/2 months with no late loads, no reportable accidents, no tickets , no failed drug test Pretty much a spotless record except for the SNi computer system can't read logbook records and I have like 8 of the violations reminders they send you in the mail. THESE ARE NOT TICKETS

My employment ending with a very low sitting trailor of 45,000 LBs of cotton seed in a old soon to be junked out "A" numbered trailer and a 5th wheel that decided not to work right. I bearly squeezed under the trailor with a inch clearance after ramming it a few times on the packy lake effect because the landing gear was crappy and would not raise the weight. As a result of my 5th wheel failing to close properly, I pulled the truck back out by policy to recheck the 5th wheel, thus of course allowed the trailor's landing gear to then sink into the packed snow, removing my 1 inch clearence and landing the trailor on the frame of the truck! Oh, this happened in February

In short, low trailor, clogged up 5th wheel, and trailor resting on frame of truck.

Now, after all that mess, how do I restart a career with only 5.5 months OTR and SNI claims I had a detached when I never got hooked up to it. Most Companies want at least a year OTR or they hire newbies, But those in between 0-12 months are S.O.L. :biggrin_25512:

I understand now a more proper action would have been to drop the landing gear down more when I finally got under it and before I pulled out the truck to re-check 5th wheel, A step that not in the SNI procedures

Just find a smaller company to work for. I dont think that is a big deal if thats what happened. Most of the good companies to work for dirver wise dont have websites and treat there drivers good. Like the company i work for :)

There are many, many old timers on here with one or more dropped trailer stories.
