Good question DG.
I was wonderin' the same thing.
And if, when they were stayin' late, were they on the clock or
"stayin' late" for free?
Volunteers?
Side Bar, ------
Ya know, ....................
A person with a sinister personality could spend a lot-0-hours
carefully considerin' the various options available to form the
perfect plan to extract maximum revenge impact upon the
perpetrator's for their phony-call phone pranks on pagers.
Get-evenism and Revenge mixed with Anger.
That might keep a mind active enough to stay awake and not
feel tired,
Ya reckon. :smt077
But I've had favorable results from Ginseng, -- timed release, preferably.
Ginseng doesn't give me the nervous jitters or tight feelin' -- almost head ache.
The shelf stuff available works OK, but what's offered at health food stores
works a lot better, --- for me, ...... anyway.
One "ol hand" told me, years ago, --- when I was a rookie, --- that the
absolute best way to guarantee that-cha'll stay awake while Drivin' a
Big truck, is to completely soak the Driver's seat with ice water, includin'
ice -- (cubes or crushed or both, I assumed), -- and then, after that,
just drive with no pants on, -- (shirt, tie and hat optional. ---
Again, a Rookie's assumption).
Burrrrrrrrrr --------
Imagine that!
Bein' a Rookie in the Big truck truckin' industry, as I then was, inquisitive, --
eager to learn, -- as much as I could absorb, ... 'cept ice water on the rocks, --
I just couldn't resist askin' 'em how often he found drivin' a Big truck, on-ice, necessary.
"All the time, mostly, really", was his quick reply.
Continuing, ............... after a somewhat brief contemplation, ..... matter-0f-factualy, .......
"Any chance I can get, actually", he said.
"Same for excuses; -- if'n I ain't got no chance, I'll go with an excuse instead.
It's really just very basically so simple; they're both exactly the same,
'cept for the difference".
That's where he lost me.
I tried to follow along closely.
Go figure.
How many Rookies would know that stuff?
Anyway, ----------
I said I'd give Over-the-Road On-the-Rocks a try.
Someday.
Know what?
I fibbed. :smt112 <----<<<
Is betel nut considered legal to ingest/consume/ be under the
influence of, ------- here?
Do you know how chewin' betel nut compares to chewin' coca-leaves?
I imagine continued use of either would result in the chewer
becomin' rather accurate in aim when tryin' to hit the 'ol
spittoon, --- dead center, ---- with no spatter.
Consistently.:smt037
There are those who'll tell us that they "can handle it, -- no problem".
And they seem to pull it off, drivin' for years, hundreds of thousands
of miles without incident.
Handlin' it.
No problem?
Hmmmmm -----
What they've managed to "handle" doesn't usually include how to
handle makin' bail and remainin' a Big truck truck driver; if a sample
of what they're handlin' lands in a report written by the hands of the law.
Cuff -- Cuff
That can be a "no problem" situation that's hard to handle (it).
Although, it's possible to get "time" to think about it awhile.
Even with a defense lawyer who can "Handle it" in court for a defendant ---
"no problem", -- for the attorney -- the problem is a defendant runnin' into reality and not realizin' it
BEFORE it happens.
It's not worth the risk.
Don't Go That Route.
Follow Crzyjarmans.
For every action
there is an equal
and opposite
RE-action.
(* I doubt that has anything to do with the subject at hand,
but I figure it'd make what I write read smarter. *)
I need all the :smt100 I can get. :smt003Sean_Reno Thanks this. -
"eternity is a very long time "... The devil is not your friend, he is the father of all lies.....but you have a choice, you can drink more coffee, get some cool air blowing in your face, above all else know your limits
