20 million subscribers probably would disagree with you.

511 is a good resource in states that have it. Also the 2011 Rand McNally has the numbers and websites for states at the top, both of which usually have a place to check weather and construction information for that state.

+1 for wunderground.com I've used that site for years, for aviation mostly, until now.

Also lean heavily on NOAA's sites. I tend to ignore forecasts from news/radio, and go straight for the raw data and draw up my own conclusions.

well that's 20 million minus one.......

and that's even IF IT IS still 20 million........

someday when i get rich, i might buy one, but not now. well since they been around, i ain't had one. goes to show you since i'm poor i got lesser things to pay for like food, gas, mortgage, house insurance, heat, water, sewage, taxes, car payments, car insurance, meds, etc, etc. and the occasional haircut for my balding head.

    a satellite radio is a "luxury item"....NOT a necessity......

    Ask my GPS...

Intellecast is my choice for internet planning, plus satellite radio and NOAA weather radio for enroute updating.

This link takes you straight to the current surface analysis...

    http://www.intellicast.com/National/Surface/Current.aspx

That can be focused onto regional maps as well. The various radar summaries are killer too...

The times on the maps are GMT or Greenwich Mean Time - which doesn't change for daylight savings. To convert to say Central Standard it's GMT - 6 hours.

Thank you very much for all the advice. I do have a weather channel app on my phone, but I just didn't feel that it was good enough. Be safe.
