You can do that, but it will set a code in the ECM that maintenance can see. Any blown fuse in a Freightliner will set a code. It may not turn on the MIL or CEL, but the code will be there.

Considering the rate of malfunction as long as you plug it in before arrival, and tell the shop "it doesn't work most of the time" they won't say anything.

Unplug the wire in the speaker. System will still work but the annoying warning sounds will be gone.

Unless they decide it needs to be fixed at the dealer and kick you out of it.

ON A CASCADIA UNPLUG THE BLUE PLUG FROM THE SPEAKER AND THIS WILL SILENCE THE LDW SYSTEM. This only has to be done on one of the speakers and it won't even throw a check engine light.
If anyone is a company driver and doesn't want to get in trouble leave it plugged it and cut the little wire in the speaker and say it must have broke from "vibration" (LOL)

Also, be careful removing the door panel, its the only way to get to the speaker w/o breaking anything!

If I'm the one responsible for getting that truck through traffic safety i'm not going to be limited without a fight! I will not be micromanaged by a desk sitter who's last experience behind the wheel was maybe never or decades ago when it was a different world as far a trucking goes.

If you don't like it, move to a different company or buy your own truck.
