I just found it, your screwed. In PA a vehicle with a combination weight over 17000 lbs is considered an intrastate commercial vehicle. It must have dot numbers, you need a logbook, and dot medical card. It's all going to come down on you, since you were the operator

The key term here is GVWR.. not necessarily the actual weight of the vehicles. The officer just has to look at the information plate on the trailer and can see if a CDL and all the trappings come into play
