how does a school like this work ??

I don't think Watkins & Shepard has a school anymore.
Check another site like Stevens Transport or Central Refrigerated or Prime. Any questions may be answered on these sites & you can call a recruiter for additional information.

 

Transportation is paid for which means get to packing for your fabulous ride on the Grayhound bus.They pay for your lodging whch means you share a room.Get a pen and paper out and write questions down to ask the recruiter.Like what hotel/motel do Watkins provide.Do they provide meals?Maybe others here can give you a list of questions to ask.Then keep those valuable questions incase you don't take this to ask the next recruiter.

 

in phoenix, i saw a semi pulling a trailer that said student driver. so that may be where there school is.

 

Watkins only has a 10 day program right now, it is done in either Missoula, mt. Or Conover, NC. Depending on which side of the country your on. In Missoula they have bunk rooms they will put you up In until you finish, conover sends their students to a motel about 1/2 mile from the terminal.
Its 10 days in the classroom then 2 weeks with a coach if they feel like you need it.
