I saw an ad at a truckstop in detroit for SMT O/O opportunities. After reading thier ad it left me wondering how they make any money if thier pay scale is what it really is. Anyone know how that works?
How does SMT work?

I have a story about steel machinery transport. You will not make money for them. You might make a living with a profit close to minimum wage. Also I know of two O/O who terminated their lease with Smt and in return Smt reported to Dac that the drivers were fired. Made me wonder why the company would lie about something so mundane. But it does hurt their chances to find employment elsewhere.

I thought you were talking about Southwestern Motor Transport out of San Antonio,TX. You won't get rich there either, but I made pretty steady money. Called last year and they lowered the pay to .34 cents. Yikes! It used to be .38cpm 6 years ago. Cheap company that doesn't want to cough up realistic driver wages.
