That is great how long have you been with swift for? That was my Second Company that I was thinking about going to. I pick Warner over them.

    Less traffic, yes.
Also less options for taking a 30 minute break, or eating for that matter.

The big issue is when you want to shut down, and how will the parking situation be at that time.
A lesser issue is your 30 minute break, because you really should not shut down in the fuel island.

Many of those drivers just stop in the fuel island for a 30, and tell others to back up and go around them.
    Jerks.
And when you want to shut down at 0500, there are no parking spots for another hour or two.

I would rather plan my trips to leave early and arrive early, to avoid rush hours, to find a good parking spot early enough - and to not piss other people off.

    By the way...
My mentor that trained me was with Swift for the same amount of time when I started, and he is still here.

Great any advice that you would give a rookie starting out?

    Much...
    If you go with Swift.
I only know the system at Swift, so I would not be of much use with any other company.

Unless you are meaning things in general and not specific to the Swift way of things.

Things in general would help anything. I am not like some rookie drivers that disrespect experienced drivers that have done this job for many years. I would hope one day that I can become a driver like you guys.

I am not one of the 'you guys'.

I am a lazy driver that likes to drive in my own time and in my own way.
I am also someone that can learn a system and work with it to my own best advantage.

Some of your question seem like you are a bored teenager. You don't seem really interested enough to do ANY research, but have just an idle curiosity about one thing or another. You will learn and retain a lot more if YOU do some research. None of us know what you already know and what you understand. Google FMCSA and HOS and look for the summary sheet they have online. It explains things very well and then ask questions about what you don't understand.

"I hear people drive. Can someone explain how to drive? thanks."

    nb629 and tinytim Thank this.

Ok if you don't have to be an ####### but thanks for the help anyways.
