How easy is it to become a tanker being paid 50k

Depends on the company and what you're hauling. Food products are somewhat less fussy than fuel or hazmat concerning experience. Hazmat varies somewhat too; with chemicals being the strictest. Frankly, some of the chemicals can kill your butt (and lots of others) in a heartbeat and are no place for low/no-experience rookies.

You should realize by now that there are no "guaranteed" income levels in trucking. Tanker is no different. Yup, you can hit $50K or even better (or less) but you can do likewise elsewhere too. Our particular outfit pays percentage of the load and the loads pay pretty good.

One thing about hazmat tankers, we are "cop magnets"; meaning they watch us closer than most..... and we have alot more regs and tests and such. Safety is a big deal with us.

first and foremost, you haven't even gone to a trucking school yet. it'll be nearly 1 year i believe of you being here asking all sorts of questions.

for the most part, i have been very kind and generous to you and your line of questions, but now confirm something for me....

1) how old are you really...??

2) what do you actually want to be when you grow up...??

3) do you have any learning disability..???( this is why i have been cutting you a whole lot of slack.....because sometimes you give me the impression of being a child, or a person of limited learning capabilities)

4) have you even tried applying to a trucking school...??

5) do you have any financial means to attend ANY SCHOOL...???

6) have you applied to any school for student loans...????

7) what do your folks say to you about ANY occupation you wish to pursue..??

8 have you any brothers or sisters that are doing jobs you would like to do..??

in closing, Lupe, if you are NOT really old enough to be a driver, or a captain of a ship or whatever, then what you are doing is amounting to trolling the boards and spamming.

YOU NEED TO FESS UP AS TO THE TRUE LUPE.....

because frankly, i for one am getting sick and tired of "hearing your thoughts"......

I guess I got to be the bad guy....

Just about every one of your inquiries has a dollar amount in it.... Do you want to make money? Or do you want to be a truck driver? Your not going to make the big bucks & run with the big dogs for many many many years despite what that commercial told you.

If you want to make the big money right from the start.... Then go to school and learn to do something. Become an architect or a engineer... If getting a 4 year degree isn't good enough for you, then rob a bank or start a meth lab.
