How far back do trucking companies check criminal background?

OK, now we'll find companies that hire felons from OK City.
The applications may or may not ask about felonies. Some don't care if they're several years old unless it's a sex crime. When and if the subject comes up, just say, you had a felony 11 years ago and clean since then. Don't volunteer any information that isn't asked for. Some drivers keep talking and talk their way right out of a job.

 

Just listen to what @Chinatown tells you. Then do what he tells you. If anybody can help you find a job, he can.

I'm not trying to sound mean or anything but look at it from the company point of view. Trucking has slowed down in the last year ir so. They can afford to be picky. If they have 10 applications on the desk, every other thing being equal why would they choose the one with a criminal conviction on it?

That said, number one thing is stop calling recruiters. Fill out the app online and then take it from there.

no time frame/limit

so you cannot hide that.

i never saw a time limit on any application i ever filled out
