I've not had the greatest luck with steers on my Cascadia.

Longest set was the last set last R283 Bridgestones.

    Lasted about 18 months.

Seems like once a little divot or piece comes off, it starts to wear whacked around it and never comes back. Then slowly they get whacked until I'll get a vibration at 45ish.

Then they go in the garbage. I always buy 2, although it seems like only one has gone south, usually the outer ring of the tread on one tire.

    x1Heavy and bzinger Thank this.

I'm usually around 78k so given what's been said here I'll run them another month and replace them with the latest Michelin energys .
Pricey for sure but this is my 2nd set on this truck and they wear so nice .
I've tried lesser brand steers on different trucks and always been disappointed.

I tried those 283s thru Morehouse and had the same problem and they rode horrible...Morehouse quit buying them too .
I pulled those 283s at about 50% I hated them so bad .

I liked them. They make 284s now. That's what I have.

Never had good luck with Michelines.

The Yoko's that came with the truck went bad in under a year. Tread was great, but they'd shake your liver loose.

I think something is a little off with the front end though. I've had it checked and rechecked, everyone says it's fine.

Just 100,000's of miles of bone jarring highway I guess.

I think it depends on the truck dave .
Yokes on the drives with cats eyes and Michelin steers seems to work with it .

My Yoko drives lasted about 240K or so.

One got a huge bolt in it, and they were able to patch it.

They were at about 5 to 8/32 various for all 8 when I replaced them. Rotated them a lot.

I think the variance in weights is a huge factor.

There's times when I go months with no more than 12K in the box.

    Makes sence ..I'm usually heavy.
One thing I did notice when I took the Michelin drives off and went to yokes was the mpg went down .5 mpg .

I have General HD's now. Even brand new, mileage jumped up. Those Yoko's definitely are not fuel squeezers.
