How much have you been driving (years and months) and how many near-death situations have you been in while trucking?
I want some statistics on how dangerous trucking is.
How frequent are the Life or Death situations

Are you asking how often my life has been in jeopardy or how often someone else has put their own lives in jeopardy because of some stupid craap they did around me?

I don't know where to find the statistics and keep in mind, depending on who and how the statistics were formed, the outcome can vary greatly. Maybe try Fed DOT or NTSB?
Little situations where you have to take action happen quite a bit wether in a car, truck, or motorcycle but there have only been a few times when I really thought I was going to end up in a accident. None of those super close calls were the type of accidents where I think I would of been killed.
I've lost two friends and one family member due to road accidents. One accident is almost 2 years ago, and the other two are from a long time ago.
Most recently a friend was out with his customer and they had too much to drink. The guy he was riding with crossed a highway intersection that was shaped in a X and ended up hitting a on coming car thru the intersection.
Other friend and his girlfriend were on a motorcycle and got t-boned at an intersection from somebody running a red light.
Family member was riding home with his fellow co workers. The guy driving tried to pass a car and hit head on with an oncoming car.
