I got a CDL on my days off from order filling at a Walmart DC and honestly it was a decent challenge. But I’m making a good living hauling caustics 6 months later. Literally doubled my income for a third of the work.

Man 3 years ago I left a Walmart DC. 10 years i spent loading trailer and yard driving. One of the best decisions i ever made.OldeSkool and Geekonthestreet Thank this.

If you want to get your CDL and get trained well, I would recommend going to Prime, in Springfield, MO. Cuz they don't charge you and you get paid while there. In my opinion, it's the best training program available for free. CDL schools are about $9,000. I am now an O/O and make about $20K a month after expenses.ambient Thanks this.

That is not a true statement. It just happens to be YOUR OPINION. I went thru a mega for my training, stayed about two years and moved on. I was not a slave or a servant to anyone. With a great company now and make a good living. You get out of it what you put into it.N00bLaLoosh, OldeSkool, ambient and 1 other person Thank this.

Does Prime pay while in CDL school or just give pay advances?
