For sometime now we have all been seeing companies close due to high fuel, insurance and now a slow down in frieght. So with all that is going on today, how have things been at your trucking company? Have you seen any changes in frieght, miles, employee cut backs, a freeze on hiring, a change from solo/teams to just teams, hiring students to not hiring students? these are just some examples. So tell us all how things have been where your at, who knows, maybe your at the one company that isnt doing so bad, or maybe your at the next one to close(hopefully not). Please be honest, no need to streach the truth.

Has been pretty rough at Eastern Freightways for the past few months. This is due to reduced freight levels and customers cancelling shipments at the last minute.

I run team with my wife and there have been a few weeks where we were lucky to make 3000 miles in 7 days on the road. In the past, layovers were never an issue, but now 2 and even 3 days sitting, waiting for a load is happening. This has happened several times to us over the weekends in Atlanta Ga.

Fortunately for us we have been reassigned to a different run. Now we start in Camp Hill Pa and go to Miami Florida and back twice a week. This gives us about 4600 miles and 2 days off at home each week.

    Bad With Names Thanks this.
