How Important Is To Get As Many CDL Endorsements & Why ?

Yup. I went into one place today to ask about a trucking job and the first thing out of the hiring managers mouth was "do you have a Hazmat endorsement?" When I said "yes," he nodded...took my resume...and said (not in a dismissive way) that he'd be in touch.

It's not just that one place, either. A few places that I've applied to so far won't even talk to you unless you have your endorsements. They definitely open up doors that wouldn't be available otherwise.

 

I'd get the ones you need. I'd never get the doubles/triples endorsement because I'd never take a job that required me to drive doubles or triples. I wouldn't get school bus or passenger either, not going to be a bus driver. The X endorsement is plenty.
