A believe me ,a steel can can get very hot in summer.(think along the line off a oven) -
It's either shipped in a dry van, or reefer with the unit shut off. Most carbonated beverages are shipped this way.
Buy yourself a filter if you're that worried. -

Water comes off the roadway and into the the river that receives treated sewage from the towns upstream. Bottled water may come from municipal water source. Through PVC pipes.
The only way to be pure is fill your ceramic jugs directly at the spring bubbling up from the ground. -
okay this is the right answer open or unopened if bottled water gets warm enough sealed or already open plastic when warmed outdasses dioxins this includes drinking hot liquids from plastic drinking cups glasses or bowls used to heat or reheat food in microwave if you are smart and im betting many arent avoid any plastic containers as much as possible .people dont realize the truckers the stores no one gives a crap about you or the conditions your bottled water are stored or transported think about them also sitting in the sun on a loading dock. plastic is not your only worry there are many items and ways you receive carcinogenics on a daily basis personally if it isnt glass or corelle made bowls dishes i dont use them i have done research on th net since windows 3.1 okay trust me when i say there is plenty out there in place to cause cancer and shorten your life all part of population control u r lied to every day wake up

The bottle thing has to do with BPE which can leach out and be bad for pregnant women in particular. But most bottles anymore are BPE free

most of it comes down to not the water but the plastic bottles that it's made out of after many years you may not want to take a swig out of it unless it's under dire circumstances..that's why you see a lot of exploration base it's not the water that expires like on aquafina which is owned by Pepsi you see the expiration date it's because of the plastics used..
it's like when you go to the dollar store and you buy yourself some like what looks like all imitation Tupperware if it doesn't say bpa-free stay away from it.. unless you like living on the edge but that's no problem there. -
Bottled water gets to the stores via @Opus, who takes it in his dry van, from non temperature controlled warehouse in Phoenix.
Might I add, these warehouses are F HUGE. I mean like millions upon millions of cases of water.
Bubble bursting moment here - It all basically comes from the same place with a different sticker on the bottle.
Then all the different stickers are stored in the same place, until Opus goes and gets them.
