How is everyone’s company doing right now

it’s to replace the drivers that are quitting at an alarming rate. They also save money as new drivers start at a lower pay rate. This is a very common practice for all carriers. When it’s slow they weed out the top pat drivers by starving them out and hire new drivers at a lower pay rate. They only treat you good as long as they are busy. Once things get slow they look to replace you if you’re at top pay rate. Welcome to the trucking industry.

 

Nobody at the top is quitting MB. We have guys who don’t work 40 hours now and they’re still training a couple new guys. Everyone is guaranteed 40 hours pay whether they work it or not.

 

I know they had 3 leave at the Winnipeg location.

 

Steady where I am running linehaul edmonton to mines north of ft McMurray. A bit of a slow down due to he port strike slowing down inbound freight but nothing that will last.

 

I only know about Brampton and nobody in at least the top half has quit. I'm making the most money since I've been here.

 

I’ve been at MB Vancouver for 14 years now and it’s the same for us. Nobody at the top really quits, just had several retirees. The bottom guys have had a tougher go. Thank goodness we’ve had several new hires pick up the slack because we couldn’t keep up for a while.

 

One of our guys is good friends with two of them. Local management issue. Complete dick local management. 20 plus years.
