You get used to using the little window in the passenger-side door and the hood mirror, in addition to the west coast mirror and spot mirror.

Might take you a little adjusting like everyone has said to having a little blind spot on the hood. Don't rush just take your time and watch yourself so you don't snag a fender or bumper while backing up.

Finally got the truck. Picking up my first load. Took 10 mins to back in lol. Butchered the setup a bit and then a lot of back and forth to get it right with the door. I’m sure it’ll get easier.

I am surprised at how out of practice I am. 1.5 years off the road. Plus, 4+ years without driving a manual.

I feel the same as when I first got my CDL lol

Ride was smooth, its windy and I didn’t feel it. It’s loud, smells like cigarettes. Its a 2022 so not as cool as that 2002. The clutch/gears grind a bit when you put it in 2nd from a stop (the 2002 didn’t).

I feel good driving it. Just need to adapt to it.

Nice looking ride. Some polish and spray wax and it will be looking large shortly.

Thank you, but before that. I wish they would’ve detailed the truck interior. Is dusty, the cigarette smell is horrible. My allergies are driving me crazy. I can feel it in my throat. Not sure if im going to be able to sleep. Not trying to be a drama queen but most companies that Ive worked with have a given me a detailed truck. This looks amazing on the outside but the inside is different. The owners smoke so I guess it doesn’t bother them.

The ride was awesome. The Cummins has power. Went up the hills on I40 EB in AZ with no problems. 50mph with 43k load.

The cigarette thing is a huge turn off though, for me. That’s the biggest disappointment.

Beautiful truck, but personally, way too much truck for this "old man". The day of "look at me" has long been history. I have become a simple person, the more truck, the more to go wrong. The more truck, the more pull ups and sweat in getting in a tight hole. But as I try to live by the attitude, God made us all different and we all don't drive black Fords.

    CorsairFanboy and Oxbow Thank this.

,,, I read this "Pooph" does a good job with cigarette orders, but please, don't let that dampen your spirits, that smell will fade, and remember, you are driving a truck it took many of us an entire career to drive. Heck, I drove company junk for years until I bought my own Pete. It's called pride. Yeah, years ago, the industry was dripping with it. We've lost a good portion of that, and Pete drivers still have some pride left. There's a problem,,,,you won't want to drive anything else, trust me. Be safe, and make sure you wave to those drivers still clammering along in their 62 mph rigs, you made the Big Time!! Now, don't screw it up,,,:biggrin_25525:
