Here lately my Verizon has been dropping calls ALOT. Granted I will have 4G in the middle of nowhere. I realized u pay so much for Verizon because of the quality of service. The data speeds are unmatched no other providers can get close to Verizons speeds or signal.

I like sprint with my company discount I pay $79 a month for unlimited data text and 900 anytime min unlimited nights and weekends I gave a samsung note 2 and why you have no dallas reception is odd our yard is in lancaster and I have full bars 4g.yes 4g usually only happens near big cities but in most places I get 3g and I watch hulu for hours on end. For that same $79..

have you actually viewed the "cheapy" straight talk phones? I highly doubt it as they are the same as you rent for two years. i am thinking that the samsung galaxy has a 4.1" screen, plenty big for this 51 year old's eyes.regardless,it is much larger than 3.5" and it is mine and only cost $250.00 initially.the $45/month covers the 3 gig everywhere i go and that is plenty fast.
straight talk also carries the i phones.
to each his own so Im elated that you enjoy contracts and paying more than $45/month for your "note".

When u move on up to the big leagues samsung note 2 then you will really see the difference nothing like watching tv on a 5.5 inch screen, while talking on the phone and texting all at the same time with a larger computer than most laptops.then and only then will u see the difference. And u only have a 1st gen galaxy? Arent they out with a galaxy 3 now? Lol

This. I've been using a rooted phone for 2 years. Sure I get in some areas where I get no service but I manage.

Whatever carrier you choose, Check out the Galaxy. It's Awsome!!! Nice screen, Does it all and then some.:biggrin_25514:

Only drawback so far has been the battery drain. :biggrin_25510:
