orientation is a lot of wasted time if you go to e. brunswick... they give you a dot physical... physical test... which is nothing to be concerned with... filling out information, road test... bunch of safety related stuff... what takes them 4 days could easily be done in two if they had any organization.

I already stated what I did... read back before your post...
-
yeah didn't see that u posted that. at least my orientation is like 65 miles from my house. its some sort of special orientation for the cs account
-
Totally agree, I drove about 60 miles each way to go and it was rough getting the motivation to go because it felt like such a waste of time. I am happy I stuck it out, but that was a rough week.

Raven do you know anything about the terminal or drop yard jb opened in Bridgeport. A friend will be running out of there after orientation on the 11th. supposedly it was set up to support cs loads from ma and ny.
-
I've heard a little talk of it from one guy who says he is from Bridgeport... and know another guy from Bridgeport who only knows that this will be his last week in WL... they've also opened a warehouse of some sort behind the truck stop in Milford xit 40.....
-
Thanks. How's it going so far? Any better without Webster? Can't wait to resume the stop and shop delivery's lol. I ran out of chester before. perishable delivery's were good for delay time.
-
Webster is still in WL... not for long though
-
Really? not surprising though. david disilva was always there. think he lived not far from there. not sure if your remember wrj trucking but I ran run of those trucks while I was there. used to pull loads out of wl when they needed drivers. read somewhere that they had less then $5,000 in assets when they lost the contract. doesn't seem like a lot of the drivers converted to jb either. at least in ny anyways. jb is advertising a $2500 signing bonus for chester terminal.

Everything listed about theirOrientation process is accurate!
What most won't admit to is the EXCEPTIONALLY ###### pay scale/wages.
I was doing "ok" running all 48 dry van with Swift (their rate of pay is pretty low)
I had to run my nutz off at Swift to bring home btwn 750-800+ weekly so when the
"golden opportunity" to run locally for JB ####, DCS acct for Toys R Us, i jumped on it.....
HUGE MISTAKE PEOPLE
One of the most disorganzed companies i have ever worked for & if i got ONE day of good running
it was to upstate NY, a whopping 400+ miles roundtrip, the rest of the week - a complete waste of my time
and gas! Who wants to run over to CSX or Croxton for a rail run during early morning traffic, a whopping 45
miles away, WOW. Money was just BURSTING OUT OF MY ####### WALLET. I drove more miles for Swift
in ONE DAY than i ever drove for these numb-nutz
They dont use Qualcomm, the use People Net and it is an abysmal piece of software! And having spent 25+
years in the computer industry (graphics/printing/design) i know a thing or two about well developed software
and software thats just unusable
Will be running Tankers for Schneider, working local presently (35 hrs/week part-time) & making far more than i did
working at JB Hunt 60+ hrs weekly!
