How is this 1099 stuff legal?

Before there was income tax, this country had roads.

2017 I was sposed to pay ~$75k in income tax, because shlubs who don't know any thing about owning a business think I should "pay my fair share". Funny when I'm working, they ain't there to help share the workload.


I'm an adult, and of conscious mind: therefore I don't need a conglomerate government deciding how much of my hard work they should take in the form of currency, at the risk of my incarceration if I don't agree.


If any person thinks national border control is the biggest issue that taxes fund: put your money where your mouth is and send the government ALL your money to protect you.

 

Well. I will close in saying that with this boondoggle tax bill that effectively penalizes OTR employee drivers, maybe it's time they seek out driver contractor or lease op opportunities and take each and every tax reduction option that is available to them. Screw the federal government apparatus.

 

Some interesting points.
Just think how lucky everyone is to live in a place where your vote counts the same as somebody that's writing them a check for a million. Ten million.

I remember writing some that were more than I used to make in a year. That's when you start to get a picture of the real democratic process, and what it means to be a citizen.

Just think the dude with no felonies, that's never worked a day in his life, and his brother, have more voting power than the guy that writes the check for 5 million, payable to United States Treasury.

If you can't manage your money, go to work for someone that can, it's that simple.

Someone gives you an opportunity, you F it up, then they are the bad guy. Only in America.

 

Something else to consider in the keeping it real department. ........... poor people don't give poor people jobs, rich people do.

 

I wanna work for this guy. He hauls some primo, high dollar freight and is connected with real movers and shakers throughout the community

 

I don't care if there is rubber dog crap, or satellite software in the box, as long as it pays.

 

But if you want to invite the most cruelest misery you will ever experience, into your life, then start cheating on your taxes.

Washington is full of tax cheats and they seem to be doing just fine.

 

So you admit to lying on your taxes because the government does not get to decide that?

Yet you stand behind a military that needs paid, a police force to secure the country that costs money, drive on public roads.......

You know it is too bad public execution is so frowned upon.
