How likely can I find a dedicated route from Nashville TN to Dallas TX?

I'm just saying that if your take home is over 1k a week after taxes, being an O/O for 2k a week before taxes isn't worth it. You might have a little more money but a lot less time. There's a ton of paperwork and a bunch of other headaches to deal with, even when things are running smoothly.

Just today my company is sending me into the ghetto of Chicago again to pick up a load. I rather have a headache than get shot since only the criminals have guns up there. Having my own truck I will never go up there again. Not everyone is the same, I have no problem managing my own business.

    Terry270 Thanks this.

So stop thinking about it. Buy a truck and go do it. Your chances of landing a dedicated run are 100% if you're willing to haul it cheap enough. Let us know how it turns out for you...

I am still saving up. I had an unexpected big home expense recently that ate up a lot of my emergency savings but I am on track to rebuilding again.

I'll bet it was nice having that emergency savings fund there when you needed it.
