How long are the bunks in the trucks?

Trucks are 8 feet wide deduct a couple of inches for sheet metal, insulation, and fabric covering. The aerodynamic structure of the truck will also be a factor. Meaning volvos with a tapered cab will be narrower than the Internationals or Freightliners. Suffice it to say you will most likely have a mattress that is about 6.5 to 7 feet long and about 3 feet wide.
At 6' 2" I find myself sleeping diagonally in my Volvo bunk with my feet touching 1 wall and my pillows stuffed against the opposite wall. I have driven Freightliners and have been able to lay straight in the bed without touching either wall.

 

I'm 6'5" and drive a lil Volvo that could. Although I touch on both ends I'm ok with the length of the berth.

 

I believe International has the widest sleeper in the industry by a slim margin. I'm 6'1" and when I stretch out in the bunk of my 9900 my feet come nowhere near touching the compartments along the wall. My pillow is flat and there are three or four inches between my head and the wall, even allowing for the stereo/climate control panel mounted there.
