I rarely have to sit at all. I call in on my cell phone (no qualcom) and they give me my next load. This morning I pulled away from the dock, closed my doors and called in. Five minutes later I was on my way.
How long are you sitting?

I work for a very small company 6 trucks..we made it thru all the high fuel times. then as fuel started coming down we lost a shipper to a broker. And since that time lucky to get one load a week...We go out and back. Its gotten so short that I have concidered other options and am actully set up to start with another company this month. I have only pulled dry van in my time trucking but this new comp pulls only Refers...My thinking is "Everyone still needs to eat" so maybe refer comp is the way to go.

I rarely sit. The loads may not be a long one, and I may have al the time in the world to make it, but I get a load even if it means deadheading up to 400 miles away to get it. Crazy yes, but I am paid for the miles.
