    No real worries.
I have enough to get me by.

And my next check is for 5,000 miles, which will pay for my new computer.

2 weeks ago my husband had a check for $6 and the next one he had $750 or so and now tomorrow's check will be $62 :( He has had to take an advance every week which hurts us but when he gets crappy checks like this he has to to be able to eat. But with him being the only one employed right now if he gets too many more of these checks we'll lose our car and other utilities. Guess the only way he can make money is stay out months at a time like others who don't have family :( Just aggravated and don't know what to do. We can't live on $62 checks but in order to get with a better job he needs to stick with Swift at least a year.

I don't know how families live off a Truckers salary, We struggle but then my lifestyle is very comfortable, that said that majority of my funding comes from my truckers retirement and his trucking pay covers the overages. That said I have been lucky or cursed depending on our finacial situation to have my man home, That said we plan to have him out 3-4 weeks at a time and pray to the Goddess Asphaltia not only for good loads and a safe trip but the occasional overnight at home. This works well this time of year, home for Hallows, then out until Turkey Day, then back out and home for Yule. This year my oldest has asked for Dad to be home on his B-day instead of Hallows, not sure how we will handle the weirdness of the hometime, but it will all work out even if Turkey day is late. It got better once we got the lease truck, he is in charge of finding and taking loads so he can run as hard or as soft as he likes. I have figured it out though and on average I get $3k a month, some months less others more, and if we have a vacation he is out longer to pay for it, the time off and back out again longer after. Yes staying out sucks but yes it does help.

Yeah he should be back in Nov 1 and then won't be in again until after Thanksgiving and if he stays out 4 weeks again after that he should get home Dec 23 and leave the 28th. We are just barely getting by. Weeks where I can't even buy groceries SUCK because I need to pay water, gas, electric, etc. He only makes .28 cpm and hoping that goes up. Aren't they supposed to get a penny raise every so often?

is he not getting any miles or is there a bigger problem? sounds like to me his miles are down? I have never gotten a check under $500 unless it was when I was goin home on hometime..A check for $6 isn't worth me leaving home for..If he isn't getting miles, he may want to look into getting a new driver leader or changing terminals.
