Hey Guys, Im new to this platform and also new to trucking. I had a question about an issue im facing

First we dropped a load for shipper X, and then we were reloaded on the same trailer from shipper X. We then drove it back to our yard, since I had to do my 34 hour reset. When i came back to my garaging address (in oklahoma), we informed the broker that we have shipper X's container. At taht point, the broker declined to pay us to return the trailer and threatned to deduct our payment to pick the trailer back up. I am currently paying for storage to hold their trailer. Can i charge the shipper/broker for a storage fee? How long do I legally have to hold onto this trailer?

The problem isn't the unloading time, it's the waiting time.

I once sat on a load of oil all weekend because although I had a 4:30PM delivery appointment on Friday, the customer decided they wouldn't receive it until 8:00AM Monday morning.

I Liked The Food Receivers That Stated:
"You May Unload Your Trailer (53' Air Ride, Barn Doors, Dry Van) However You Have a Mere 3 Hours To Unload AND Down Stack On Up To 100+ Pallets, AND You Get This Standard Issue Manual Pallet Jack (which had one worn out sloppy steer wheel and usually low on hydraulic fluid)."
I ALWAYS Said "NO THANKS, I Do Not Down Stack DOUBLE STACKED Pallets and My Speed Is Two Based: ON, OFF."
Food D.C.'s Were Fun in an annoying way.
