can't remember exactley as it has been a day or two. but it was less than an hour and i have kind of taught myself along the way. i have gone thru two log changes and looks like i might go thru another. i don't understand why they don't have the mentality to just leave it alone. i always heard, if it isn't broke don't fix it.

Although i went to a privately ran school--we spent quite a bit on logs with movies/overhead projectors. Before we could even graduate--we had to do a log project in which totaled to like 3,000+ miles and it was sent into the State DOT to be graded. If you didnt pass this and it came back as a fail--you didnt get passed until it was right! I thought this was normal but i guess its just something that school did. Evidently, there was only a pass/fail--no partials to it. If you missed one thing--u missed it all.:biggrin_25523:

Well you got what you paid for :biggrin_25519: That's great, all drivers should be treated that way and when regulations change there should be a test and the DOT should have to grade it/pass you to get your CDL I feel.

Not sure that it really matters but i went to a privately ran school -- not a company sponsored school. I am not sure that it makes a difference but they still made us do that "project". It took a few days to do it too--a lot of thought process went into cuz i surely didnt wanna take it over! :biggrin_2559:

When I went out with my trainer, he said, forget everything the school taught on the logs. This is the way we do it.
