    The date of a tire is a 4 digit code first two is the month, second 2 is the year. 0314 would be March 2014. Usually recappers won't recap casings that are over 6 years old, when tires are recapped they get a second date on the sidewall.

    According to California everything causes cancer. I just bought some mudflaps for my pickup and the box had a Prop 65 (or whatever Cali calls it) sticker on it.
