Thank you but of course I know the consequences if I was to ever do that(in my case NEVER THAT DUMB TO DO SO) but I got cleared after 3 delays and 5 headaches.

The clerk issued me a learners permit because she made a mistake noting down on my application I didn’t have A CDL. That’s where everything went down the drain. Long story short, they had a hold on my hazmat due to that mistake but I got it cleared over the phone, receiving my hard copy this week with my hazmat and tanker endorsement.

So now you have a remembered conversation from the phone call saying you are authorized to pull HazMat. How do you know your actual electronic CDL file confirms you have a full-force HazMat endorsement? How can you prove to a cop on the side of a road that the info on his screen in the car is incorrect? I hope you have a email & you carry that printed email in the truck with you. You cannot rely on govt to follow up with actions. You need proof whenever there is confusion about your CDL or something important. Your problem may or may not be fixed, but you certainly will be the person sitting in a holding cell if some clerk forgets. Only YOU can protect YOUR license.

I have a NEW TEMPORARY LICENSE WITH UPDATED ENDORSEMENT( which I obtained yesterday after my 3rd visit) ALLOWING ME TO HAUL HAZMAT because of that phone call.

I never called anyone the dumbest of any bunch. I have read hundreds of "so I skipped my drug test..." or "now that I've signed a 12 month contract with Crud Trucking & I'm not getting paid, how do I walk away without paying the $9k for CDL school". Everyone of theses "I jumped off a building & was wondering what's the best way to make a parachute" comes from people making dangerous assumptions, not taking the situation seriously, acting BEFORE they know what to do, or expecting EVERYTHING can be reversed at any time. You can be too careful a thousand times. You may only get 3/4 of a chance to not be careful enough.

Good experience comes from goo judgement.

Try to learn from the mistakes of others so you don't have to make them yourself or suffer the consequences.

But have you seen your CDL file. Cops don't just look at your CDL, They tap into the database and read what it says and if it says otherwise they believe the database. Telling a cop "Hey this clerk said I was good to go" isn't going to take off any handcuffs if the database has faulty info. I'd demand a letter or email from verifying you are good to go. I'd print it out & keep in the truck.
