Not all energy drinks are sugar powered, many are a big shot of B12, Ginseng and Taurine which are all good for you unless you push it to the point of abuse. As far as caffeine goes, same deal. Many health benefits and very few drawbacks unless your just abusing it. Drinking caffeine and having a good energy from it is not the same as slamming a pot of coffee and running on jitters.

You are a woman, we're still not sure your kind belong in the workplace, (nothing sexist)

I am a living testamony to that. I had a box of caffinee pills (Approx 40) in a single afternoon and still fell asleep while coming up on a construction crew pushing everyone off 95 onto One north of Doswell one fine day. Asleep while moving. Ridiculous however the body was doing exactly what it was built to do in that situation. That was the last time I took Caffinee pills.

I do like my coffee and smoking. But the smoking had to stop after I experienced loss of blood oxygen from around 97% to roughly 88% on room air in Casper WY ER one evening. Felt like someone was wrapping chains which is a classic asthma problem potentially in addition to mountain altitude sickness. They fixed me up in about a hour using a special breathing treatment. I always will remember that ER in Casper, they were really good to a stranger from a far away land. Part of the problem was also stress. We were moving past yellowstone and eastbound trying to escape two seperate winter storms without chain. Threading the needle with the wife driving at 2Am. Ultimately we managed to get clear despite the delay.

I love the mountains, but it is something that will try to kill me if I got to around 13,000 or so next time. It's a shame. I lived for it.

While coffee isn't exactly healthy, you will never build up the tolerance level that it becomes useless. While I've cut my intake down to only 1 thermos a day in the last year, for 2 decades i was at 2 and if i got drowsy id pour a cup and it would perk me right up. Of course you can be so sleep deprived that nothing will work. Getting to that point is just foolish and irresponsible.
