    how long does it take for a trucking company to determine whether they'll hire you? in other words, if they are reviewing my resume today, how much time should go by before i can more or less assume that they dont want me? thanks

    You can get a pre-hire in as little as a day or minutes some times, I went in to apply for the last company I worked for and they gave me a road test and a physical that day...
    But a full job offer could take a week or longer.

    It really depends on what the company is searching for.

    your prehire will get you to orientation its from there that they decide to keep you or not. most of the time as long as you were honest on yoru application they will keep you and work with you and if you are still there after 2 weeks and havent got that magic phone call from safety then your ok

    Yeah basicaly depends on the company but I bet average is about 2 weeks.
