How long of a period does a DAC report last

    I drove for Schneider on a dedicated Wal-Mart acct back in 2002 I was terminate after 2 months for getting lost in the Washington, DC area. I wanted to get back into the industry so I requested a copy of my DAC report just to see what was on it the only thing it said was that a 7 year period had elapsed and that Schneider was prohibited from discussing my employment, accidents/incidents, reason for leaving an eligibility for rehire. Mind you I was never in an accident there was no record of me being in an accident, so my question is what are my chances of getting back into the industry

    Going through a refresher course at minimum if you maintained your cdl. If not then going back through 160 hr course. It's almost like a fresh start if you could call it that. I have a similar situation with info that was reported by Swift that will fall off on the 18th of this month and I already have 2 offers on the table before month's end. Just stay away from Swift and have a safe and prosperous return to trucking!

    when it reaches the 7 year period, as you have seen, they can only list the employer, nothing else..after 10 years it falls off, or at least it has done so for me....hopefully this has not changed.

    but tell you what though, at the very LEAST it confirms you had worked for a particular company...THAT you might NEED as proof if ever a company goes out of business....also, i would recommend that you keep the most current DAC report you get, so that when the time comes things fall off...?? you still have that proof in black and white....
