How long should one last? Like the 29s swing 80-90 watts?

I have yet to see a 29 swing more then 40 ish watts without an RFX 75 bolted to the back of it. But then the RFX 75 puts them in the 100 ish range for swing.
So if it has an RFX and is swinging 80-90 then it is not being pushed too hard and should last a good while. If it doesn't have an RFX strapped to it then I don't see it last very long at all, if it is actually swinging 80-90. -
AT 20 years the caps will go bad .......
AT 30 years the old style cabon resisters are shot ......
AMPS are the same I have amps that are 30+ years old and HEAT is the killer on a amp .....keep them cool and they will work for decades ....
MOST that die are because everyone wants 100 watts out of a 100 watt amp .... hold it down to 50 and it will out last the owner ....
Here is a 50 year old transmiter only some caps had to be changed ....Attached Files:

RFX mod only do a honest 80-85 watts
Most only last a year or so if run regularly
near peak. -
Well I was lookat at one with the rfx on the back from custombuiltcbs.com just didn't want to spend my money and it die in 6 months

I have one from Doug and one from
Al,Doug's popped at 14 months and Al's
just short of 18 months. Neither was used as a driver.
