just thinking ahead, someday I want to go local for tmc and get a dedicated route. How long is the wait? who do I contact? can I have a dedicated route from where I live? I live in northern ky about 20 min from silvergrove lafarge.

You shouldnt have a problem with getting lafarge dedicated where you live. The problem is seniority(sp?). Your fleet manager will let you know who you need to contact but I think you need 6 months in with TMC. Thats what it was when I was working there. As far as the wait, a lotta guys love dedicated. So you might have a list to wait on. Also you will take a small paycut if they pay the same as the Charlotte, N.C. Home Depot dedicated. They start at 25% and raise you 1% per year after that.
    Good luck on it though.

its all about seniority. no newbie driver should be able to land a dedicated. if you can, run, theres something up with that account. like the other poster said, it could be 6 months but id say 2-3 yrs is more realistic with any company thats worth driving for. cant speak for TMC specifically
