Not much you can do agains't the cheap ones. Seldom have to look for a driver, usually there are a few waiting. Pay them good, treat them right and there isn't a problem.
How many here have owned and operated more than one truck they drive?

I would not run more than one again unless I plan on putting enough trucks on the road to have a full-time dispatcher and mechanic. If I just dedicate the time it takes to keep truck 2 loaded and running to driving I make more with less headaches.

My experience was a bad one for the reasons already mentioned. Unless you can get from two trucks to five very quick I would recommend against it. Driving a truck and managing another one is tough. And if you're going to pay a decent wage to get a good driver (if you can find one) you're not going to make much money off the second truck. In my opinion the risk and extra work was not worth the reward. Now if you can get to a point where you have enough trucks to get off the road and just manage them - different story.

I jsut don't see much more potential to make more than 700-1000 on the other truck I have and see the potential to put me out of business if I waa to get the wrong driver. -
HAHAHA yard sales. That made me laugh driver.
