The economy is garbage right now. Experienced guys are failing. Jesus would you listen to what people are telling you and quit hanging onto the few comments that say it MIGHT be possible.

Where are you getting that I have all this money to start, I’m talking about buying one truck and reinvesting for years I just want to make sure it I can’t get direct contacts that I’ll be able to have continuos freight for the trucks every week using load boards only.

What you want to do is impossible. It won't work, not now, not ever. Your business plan is fatally flawed and you should look for other investments.
Is that clear enough?Sons Hero, TripleSix, homeskillet and 4 others Thank this. -
Your odds of success with that kind of money would be far greater at a casino. So think carefully before investing in such an idea, do your due diligence.homeskillet, ZVar and JoeyJunk Thank this.

If your family owned a small manufacturing company of some sort and you got a lifetime contract to exclusive outbound trailerload single stop trips at 15 dollars per mile with inflationary increases built in, and the company's product exploded in popularity so fast that transport costs didn't matter to retailers, then maybe it could work, but today's model for truck transport isn't anything more than brokered lowest cost, with liability solely on a carrier whether 1 truck or 500.

A stat for you:
Almost 60% of the people who lease a truck from SFI don't complete the lease terms.SFI has one of the better truck lease options in the industry (everyone please note I didn't say good, I said better, it's still predatory as heck). And that number is from when rates were pretty good.
There are ways to go about doing what you're talking about, but right now you're at the "little kid playing dress up" stage.FullMetalJacket, Dennixx and JoeyJunk Thank this. -
Yes, but see, he's planning on making up the short from a single truck by making it up in volume.
gokiddogo, Dennixx, Grumppy and 1 other person Thank this. -
That’s where I got my numbers. You stated 50 trucks as if it was serious.FullMetalJacket and JoeyJunk Thank this.

Times were that one truck could generate growth profit potential.
Fuel was cents per gallion and making $0.50 per mile WAS profitable.
This is no longer the case, older established carriers with dedicated accounts are struggling when they have the benefit of lower operating costs for fuel, vehicles and parts; as well as, cash flow because they are not begging load boards and brokers for payment, dedicated business means dedicated income...some stability that OP won't have.JoeyJunk, gentleroger and Dennixx Thank this. -
Save your money. Get your first truck through a Lease/Purchase. Zero down and you are on your way to owning your first truck. I hear there are many fine places in Chicago that can get you started.firemedic2816 and JoeyJunk Thank this.
