Actually, yes. 2 1/2 years ago the transporter of one of my new trucks was stopped at the border. My truck was decked and had 27 in the sleeper. Took six weeks to get it released.

6 weeks is ludicrous. Once they're out of the truck I could see a day or 2 for a complete search of the vehicle, but 6 weeks? That's just a lazy system in my opinion.

Usually if the Feds are involved they’ll seize the vehicle and put it up for auction.

How is that fair to the rightful owner of a new vehicle being delivered from the factory I'm guessing?
The illegal cargo gets processed, sent back over the border and the trucks continue on to their destination. 3 day process at the most in a perfect world. Those trucks just sat wherever for 6 weeks because they were simply involved in a crime. What, were they questioning the trucks and the trucks weren't answering?
