That's the norm though. Even some O/O companies are going that route.... It pisses me off.... I'm going to be taking some steps here this year to position myself.... When my truck is paid off in 2 years I'm going back to hauling gravel.
How many miles a week will I be able to do?

who fuels the truck? Inspects the truck? Loads & unloads?
Geez REDD thats what PIT CREWS are forLilbit Thanks this. -
You really need to run a minimum of 10,000 a month. 11, 12 or 13,000 is even better, right? Consider this also. Trucking companies consider $10,000 a month revenue per truck a working minimum. And you, the driver, should figure miles and $$$$$ made on a yearly basis, not weekly.

Most companies expect teams to run 1000 a day. If you are doing 4000 a week as a single driver then you know what you are doing! If you can do 4000 as a single then it is time to think about O/O.
A.T. props to you! You are doing very, very well! That is extreme for a new driver especially one who didn't go out with a trainer! Don't get down on yourself because freight is going to come to a halt now. This is the time of year when all the experienced guys take vacations because it is the slowest time of the year. February will pick up because all the major corporations will start to shuffle their inventory around to hide for tax season. I know for sure Kraft plays that game very well.
American-Trucker and scottied67 Thank this. -
Few drivers that I talk to are getting anywhere near a consistent 2500 miles every week... promises are just that...
