Beware that the FMCSA looks at miles to judge if you're in compliance. 550 to 600 is questionable and 600 is assumed to be incapable. I know there's been talk before and drivers have claimed they log 600 miles. If they didn't have to show proof then they were lucky. I used to do 450 to 500 tops but that was years ago. Maybe out west you might be able to do more than 500 but just know the inspectors have guidelines they can go by.

How many miles do you log????

Ran MT from West Palm to Buffalo three weeks ago. Averaged 68 mph and I defy anyone to prove me wrong...

I log as many as I drive....logged 700-715 miles in 11 hours many times and never had any issues with it in 70 mph states.

Depends on what you do. I'm in Werners training program and I average about 600 miles a daythis is in a truck governed at 65MPH 99% interstate driving where the speed limit rarely ever falls below 65 MPH aside from various construction areas. 600 in a day for an OTR driver seems to be a daily average.

I got close to 700 one day but this was without playing truck stop cowboy.

I'm local, governed at 65, and during the busy season, October-May I log around 580 a day, with that said I'm only able to work 5 days though before I have to restart my 70. I cross state line and log on a 70 hour clock and between having to load myself and hangups at the landfill, I hit my 14 hours pretty much daily. BTW, my run is from the westside of Tallahassee, Florida to Valdosta, Georgia. 95 miles one way.

Did just under 700 the other day in a 62 mph truck. My company gives us up to 65 mph on logging speed and I will stop several times for 7.5 minutes to gain time when I can. Most days are under 600 though.

We are log audited within 15 miles and I have never had trouble.
