31 years driving. 1 speeding ticket back in '85, no accidents or incidents. 3.4 million safe miles. And alot of this was doing years of LTL in the big city just east of the GW Bridge. Still look forward to starting my day every morning I wake up.

Dave 1960 and fireba11 Thank this.

About 31 years driving, some OTR, most regional, now local. Always Independent O/Operator.Reefer, dry box and flat bed. Prefer reefer, but warehouses have gotten too dificult. 8 different trucks,3 million total, 1 speeding ticket bob-tailing, no at-fault accidents, but I have been hit twice.O/OF/S 2 times, once no log book, once a slack [ 70 # ] tire. Several tickets in 4 wheeler years ago. I guess I still enjoy it as a job, but the thrill is gone. Too much traffic.

[,you think they could have seen the big truck.

I had two people run into me, I dont think they even cared if they seen me or not.
I had to learn the hard way, your fualt or not its you who takes the hit in the long run.

It kinda hindered me from getting a few jobs wen I was hurting for work. My fualt or not the companies always got leary about it, some didn't even care, they just viewed it as another accident. I even had copies of the police reports stating I was'nt at fualt, still it seemed like it didnt really make that much of a difference.

Im not sure how many miles I have. I've been driving for a good ten years, got my CDL in 2002 I might be just shy of a million. I had worked local for a few years and just started doing it again.

I had a few tickets, one for no seat belt, I took it off after being pulled over and he said he didnt see it on me and wrote me up for it. He ended up letting me off on his original violation he pulled me over for, wich was speeding. Got one U-TURN and one speeding-60mph. Life in california at 55 and the CHP. They're always out there.

As far as the accidents go, got two no at fualts,on the first one the CHP officer could see the guy was lying out of his teeth
On the second a truck driver pulled over and talked to the officer for me on my behalf. In both cases the two fourweelers claimed to be not be at fualt.

On the first accident the guy was trying to say I hit him from the back, you could clearly see that the point of impact and damage was on the side of the guys pick up, that just pissed the officer off.

On the second, the guy was trying to say I was over the line wen he hit me. Lucky for me thats when another truck driver stopped, pulled over and to talk to the officer for me on my behalf, I was lucky he did that, that kind of kindness dosn't come around to often and hopefully there wont be a need for it eighter.

And blahhh blahhhh blahhhhh sorry guys, I start blabbin away and just keep on going.

I'm not a million miler.......yet. I'm so close I can taste it though! 925,000 (appr.) Hopefully by the end of the year. That would give me a million in ten years. Accident free! (Knock on wood, so far)
